Applicators are licensed through the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services to ensure proper herbicide application rates as well as waterway approved products.
Not all aquatic vegetation is bad! Interestingly enough, there are a wide variety of native, beneficial species that we encourage to promote and propagate around your waterway. These flowering plant species include Arrowhead, Duck Potato, Pickerelweed and several species of Canna. Other common Florida native species include Bulrush & Club rush which can be found along shorelines and littoral zones. Aside from enhancing aesthetic beauty, these plants can aid in bank stabilization and erosion control.
Selective treatments are the key to success. Each technician is trained in identification of native beneficial species as well as nuisance/invasive species to ensure we target specifically the vegetation that will decrease the functionality and quality of your individual waterway.
