Conservation Cutbacks & Drainage Swale Mowing
Conservation areas are exactly what the name intends them to be, conserved for native flora & fauna. However, invasive plant species such as Cattails, Brazilian Pepper and Primrose Willow can find these areas just as habitable as your indigenous plants. Methodology of maintaining these areas can be done via forestry mulching. This method utilizes machinery equipped with rotating teeth and flails to finely mulch up small trees and vegetation while leaving root systems in place for soil stabilization
Following any conservation cutback it is strongly encouraged to treat the areas on a monthly basis via herbicide for best control and management.
